Delivery Options for Your New Kitten
When it comes to bringing your new kitten home, I offer several convenient delivery options to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for both you and your pet. Here’s a breakdown of the options available:
Option 1: Curbside Delivery to Your Home
For the ultimate convenience, I can personally deliver your kitten right to your doorstep. This is a great option if you prefer your Maine Coons to avoid the stress of air travel. I charge a fee of $50 per hour for round-trip travel time. For example, if you’re located two hours away, the total cost would be based on a four-hour round-trip. You can easily pay this fee upon delivery.
Option 2: Meet Halfway
If you prefer, we can meet halfway to minimize your driving time. The rate remains $50 per hour of travel, including my return trip. This is a great option for those who want a quicker exchange without coming all the way to pick up the kitten. Please bring cash at the meeting point for this option.
Option 3: Pick Up in Mineral, VA — FREE
For the best experience for your kitten, you’re more than welcome to pick up your new furry friend from my location in Mineral, VA, completely free of charge. I highly recommend this option as it minimizes stress for your kitten. While you’re in the area, you can enjoy a visit to Lake Anna State Park, which is just a few miles away, and explore some great nearby restaurants. Please note, traffic can be challenging at times, so plan accordingly!
Option 4: Nanny Air Delivery ($500-$1,000)
If you’re located farther away, I offer Nanny Air Delivery where your kitten will fly with me or a trusted Pet Nanny in the cabin to your nearest airport. The cost typically ranges between $500 and $1,000, depending on your location and flight costs. This option ensures your kitten travels comfortably and safely. Once we know your location, we can provide a more accurate estimate.
Option 5: Air Travel for Kitten in Cargo ($100 + Airfare)
For a more budget-friendly option, your kitten can fly in a pressurized and temperature-controlled cargo area. You will need to cover the actual airfare for your kitten, and I charge a $100 fee to handle the arrangements and transport your kitten to the airport. I recommend selecting a mid-morning or early afternoon flight to avoid rush hour traffic, which can be heavy around Reagan National Airport in D.C. Payment for this option should be made separately from the airfare.
In-Person Visits If you’d like to see the kittens in person before deciding, I offer in-person visits for serious buyers. However, I ask that only two adults visit at a time to avoid overwhelming the kittens. If you have older children and would like to bring them, please discuss this with me in advance. I’m also taking extra precautions to limit exposure to illnesses—if you or anyone you’ve been in contact with is feeling unwell, please reschedule your visit to protect both the kittens and my family.
With these flexible delivery options, you can choose the best way to bring your new kitten home while ensuring their safety and comfort!
